Overview  Vice President of Preconstruction
A highly reputable Residential High Rise Developer in Toronto is looking for a leader to direct the Preconstruction within their self performing Construction division and to oversee projects from pre-construction to implementation. If you have experience in preconstruction project management leadership, Quantity Surveying, Estimating or Cost consulting of complex projects and have a passion to develop and mentor a robust team, then read on.
Reporting to the President, the VP of Preconstruction is an active self-starter who expresses a sense of urgency and pride in their work. This role is responsible for managing all phases of both the planning and execution of preconstruction services. Your team is accountable for providing thorough, accurate, and competitive estimates to facilitate construction design decisions.
If you have a high ability to communicate well with subcontractors and clients and are self motivated with a high technical awareness of complex construction projects, can oversee a team that cost estimates accurate information from construction designs and manage pre-construction schedules fully then apply now. This role would suit someone that likes to both direct others and "roll up their sleeves" when required.
Responsibilities   Direct the Preconstruction within the self performing Construction division and oversee projects from pre-construction to implementation.
Lead preconstruction project management, Quantity Surveying, Estimating or Cost consulting for complex residential high-rise projects.
Develop and mentor a robust preconstruction team to deliver thorough, accurate, and competitive estimates to support design decisions.
Oversee schedules and ensure timely delivery of preconstruction services from planning through execution.
Coordinate effectively with subcontractors and clients, communicating project needs and cost implications clearly.
Qualifications   Experience in preconstruction project management leadership, Quantity Surveying, Estimating or cost consulting for complex projects.
Strong ability to communicate with subcontractors and clients; self-motivated with a high technical awareness of complex construction projects.
Proven track record of cost estimating from construction designs and managing pre-construction schedules.
Ability to lead, direct, and mentor a team, while also being willing to roll up sleeves when required.
