Semi Skilled Labourer

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and motivated Semi-Skilled Labourer to support construction and infrastructure work in Toronto, ON. The ideal candidate will assist with general labour tasks, equipment handling, and site maintenance, working closely with skilled tradespeople and supervisors. This is a full-time, physically demanding role with long-term potential for growth in the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist skilled workers, including pipe layers, equipment operators, and foremen, on-site
• Perform general labour tasks such as site prep, clean-up, and material movement
• Operate basic hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Carry out minor concrete mixing, pouring, and finishing tasks
• Support in trenching, backfilling, and other groundwork duties
• Maintain a clean and hazard-free worksite by identifying and addressing safety concerns
• Load and unload materials and equipment as needed
• Follow the site supervisor's directions and company safety procedures at all times

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of general construction or labour experience
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s License with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift to 50 lbs and work outdoors in various weather conditions
• Knowledge of basic construction tools and safety practices
• Dependable, punctual, and able to take initiative on-site

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in concrete work, basic landscaping, or trenching
• Familiarity with underground infrastructure or utility construction
• Working knowledge of minor equipment maintenance or repair
• First Aid or other safety certifications are considered an asset
