Role Summary
The Project Manager oversees the full lifecycle of restoration projects—from initial assessment to final completion. This position plays a key part in ensuring that property owners and insurance partners receive timely communication, professional service, and an excellent overall experience.
Primary Responsibilities
Manage emergency and reconstruction assignments, including site evaluations, sketches, estimates, resource scheduling, and communication with clients and adjusters.
Meet established corporate and program metrics for file progress, estimating deadlines, and project completion.
Guide clients through the restoration process by setting realistic timelines and ensuring clear, ongoing communication.
Prepare accurate project budgets and estimates while achieving targeted profitability.
Handle invoicing and monitor accounts receivable for assigned projects.
Maintain productive relationships with subcontractors and third-party vendors, ensuring compliance with agreements and performance standards.
Deliver exceptional customer service and foster strong long-term relationships with clients and stakeholders.
Promote and uphold company health and safety procedures, ensuring compliance on all job sites.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and verify quality.
Balance multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ensure alignment with company policies, operational standards, and key initiatives.
Provide consistent updates through daily or weekly reporting as required.
Be available during evenings, weekends, and on-call rotations, depending on operational needs.
Required Experience & Skills
5–7 years of experience in construction or property restoration.
Strong proficiency with MS Office, MS Project, Xactimate, and Xact Analysis.
IICRC certifications (WRT, FSRT) strongly preferred; additional IICRC credentials such as Odour Control, Applied Structural Drying, or AMRT are an asset.
Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and support team members.
Ability to interpret construction drawings and technical documentation.
Solid understanding of construction principles and the Ontario Building Code.
Able to work independently or collaboratively while consistently prioritizing safety.
Strong negotiation abilities and relationship-building skills.
Effective at multitasking, managing deadlines, and working under pressure.
A proactive mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities and a commitment to project completion.
Entrepreneurial, adaptable, and resourceful work style.
Ability to travel occasionally as required.
Valid G or G2 driver’s licence.
