Dental Assistant Certified Level II

Our client is looking for a full‑time experienced Dental Assistant Level II near Bloor West area. Must have NDAEB.

There are multiple full‑time assistants on staff as this office is a large multi‑disciplinary practice.

• Must have Level II Diploma
• Must have NDAEB – no exceptions
• Minimum 1 year experience
• Must have 1 year Canadian experience
• Familiarity with Orthodontics and Periodontics an asset
• Dentrix knowledge an asset
• Moderate to strong command of the English language both spoken and written
• Must be organized, can multi‑task, team player, communicate clearly and effectively, and have a warm disposition
• Keep up to date with CPR certification – office provides training

• Must be able to work in a fast‑paced and busy environment.
• Assisting dentist during dental procedures that involve handing instruments and other materials.
• Sterilizing instruments.
• Will assist General dentist, Periodontist, and Orthodontist (will be trained).
• Assisting dentist with crowns, bridges, porcelain veneers, dental implants, Invisalign, teeth whitening, fillings, extractions and mouthguards.
• Placement and removal of rubber dams.
• Taking X‑rays of patients’ teeth and exposing dental diagnostic X‑rays.
• Using suction and swabs to keep patients’ mouths clear and dry during procedures.
• Taking preliminary impressions of teeth for study models.
• Applying pit and fissure sealants and topical anesthetics.
• Questioning patients about their medical history and recording the information for dentist’s reference.
• Advising patients on dental care, oral hygiene and plaque control programs.
• Will be joining a CDA team of 3 full‑time and 1 part‑time.
• Making patients of all ages feel comfortable before, during and after dental treatment.

• Mon, Wed, Fri (8:30‑5:15 / 5:30)
• Tues & Thurs (10:30‑7:15 / 7:30)
• Sat (8:30‑2:30) rotation & can leave earlier another day of the week (Wed or Fri)

Bloor St West / Roncevalles (Free residential street parking)

• $26+ TBD depending on experience and performance
• Basic dental for employee, their spouse and children included after three months
