P3 Design Lead - Senior

Job Summary

The Senior P3 Project (Design) Lead is responsible for managing and leading the design team for P3 (Public-Private Partnership) projects in the Alternative Financing and Procurement (AFP) model. The Senior P3 Project Lead will play a critical role in overseeing the pursuit submission process for new projects and, if successful, the implementation stage of healthcare facilities.

The position requires a strong background in healthcare architecture and extensive experience managing P3/AFP projects from pursuit through implementation.

• Lead the design team for P3 projects pursued by our firm with Infrastructure Ontario, managing project schedules, budgets, and deliverables for the design team.
• Collaborate with project managers, technical experts, and other design professionals to ensure that designs are coordinated and meet project objectives.
• Develop design solutions that meet project requirements and are feasible within the P3 procurement framework, including preparing design deliverables such as drawings, specifications, and other documentation.
• Present design solutions to clients, stakeholders, and project teams, and participate in business‑development activities such as client meetings, proposal preparation, and presentations.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure designs are coordinated and meet objectives.
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends and technologies, applying this knowledge to improve design processes.
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance and support.

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in an architectural firm or related industry.
• Experience working on P3 projects in the infrastructure sector.
• Strong design skills with a portfolio that demonstrates design excellence.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Professionalism, strong work ethic, and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other software as required.
• Understanding of building codes, construction techniques, and material technologies.

Salary Range: $125,000 – $175,000 per year.
