Landscape Designer – WSP Canada
WSP is seeking up to two Landscape Designers for our Ontario Landscape Architecture & Urban Design team. We are looking for creative, collaborative designers with strong technical skills who will contribute to a wide range of projects and be involved in all aspects of project delivery.
Responsibilities- Work with Landscape Architects, Designers and Arborists in an interdisciplinary environment on a wide range of project types at a range of scales.
- Support coordination of projects from planning and concept development through implementation; prepare tender/construction drawings and documents; renderings and 3D visualizations; assist with site observation activities for landscape projects.
- Actively participate and contribute to office activities, initiatives, and learning opportunities.
- Degree or Diploma in Landscape Architecture, Urban Design, Landscape Architectural Technology or Architectural Technology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to quickly develop and articulate different design ideas and project concepts.
- Ability to work independently, show initiative, and contribute positively to a multidisciplinary team.
- Collaborative mindset and desire to find creative solutions that are environmentally responsible and technically sound.
- Understanding of project development, design development and construction documentation including site design, planting design, site grading and construction detailing.
- Strong technical skills including proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office. Proficiency in Micro Station, Civil3D, Sketch Up, Lumion, Revit, Rhino and GIS strongly desired.
- Professional experience in Landscape Architecture.
- Valid driver’s license.
- ISA Certification.
- Bilingualism (English/French).
- Membership in the OALA.
- Project coordination experience.
