, Workplace
Reporting to the Director, Workplace you will work collaboratively with the Workplace Team to develop design solutions to support a variety of corporate office projects. As a Team Leader you may lead aspects of projects including managing the client relationship and driving deliverables throughout the project; or be a project team member contributing to all phases of the design process.
- Work collaboratively with the team to develop innovative and sustainable design solutions
- Resolve project challenges as needed to ensure deadlines are met at all phases
- Coordinate activities with external partners, vendors, engineers and other consultants
- Provide project direction to the team, manage resources, oversee the quality of deliverables
- Build strong design solutions leveraging your Sketch Up, Photoshop and InDesign skillsets
- Create schematic floor plans and develop design concepts with three dimensional renderings
- Oversee the development of drawing packages outlining all details necessary for the build
- Coordinate with the GC to ensure the space is built in accordance with the contract documents
- Review progress of construction on site, reviewing shop drawings and approving finishes
- Improve internal processes to build the overall strength of the Figure3 Team
- Provide coaching and guidance to junior designers
- University graduate in Interior Design or other relevant discipline
- Minimum of 7 years of experience ideally with exposure to current global trends
- Strong AutoCAD, Sketch Up, & InDesign skills essential;
Photoshop & Revit skills are beneficial - Demonstrated understanding of design for corporate projects
- Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings
- Successfully led design projects as a trusted advisor to clients
- Understanding of millwork construction
- Ability to present ideas and concepts successfully to multiple stakeholders
- Confidence in your ability to manage client and consultant expectations
- Active membership in relevant industry associations
- Strong communication, interpersonal and team skills
