Account Manager
BMD is looking for a new Account Manager to join our team!
In this role, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, working directly with clients on a variety of brand design initiatives. This position encompasses project management, leadership, and administrative duties.
The right candidate will have a passion for bringing teams together to create great work, and the organizational and management skills to make it look easy.
The hiring salary for this full-time role in our Toronto studio is CAD $55K-$65K annually.
- Provide day-to-day oversight of specific projects and client relationships, from initial pitching through to project completion
- Develop a deep understanding of our clients and their businesses, and provide meaningful contributions to our brand design work
- Lead communication with our cross functional team and collaborators by capturing notes, drafting and sharing status reports and facilitating communication
- Assist in developing creative presentations and delivering them to clients
- Manage all aspects of the project including administrative set up, briefing teams, planning and facilitating meetings, resourcing, timelines and executing against budgets and project plans
- Oversee the financial health of projects and clients. Track progress, hours, and schedules against agreed project timelines and budgets
- Write scopes of work and draft budgets
- Identify opportunities to support and strengthen our relationships with existing clients
- Collaborate on new business opportunities
- Post-secondary graduate, with 2-3 years related/transferrable experience, ideally within a project based and creative environment
- Experience in branding is preferred
- Experience with web design and other digital projects is a significant asset
- Experience with spatial design projects and or way finding also a plus
- Design sensibility and an awareness of design processes and concepts
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects, budgets, timelines, and resourcing independently and collaboratively (with senior account management support)
- Understanding of accounting and financial principles, and how they impact projects
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience interacting with clients
- Ability to assign tasks, identify strengths and weaknesses, and support team members
- Ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously, and prioritize independently
- Proactive, responsive, and resourceful
- High attention to detail and organization

We are currently following a hybrid work model and come together in our Toronto studio 2x a week (Tuesdays &Thursdays).
