Hey! You’ve found Klue…Welcome 👋
Your role as a UI Designer
The UI Designer role will play a key role in our product org, making Klue a simple, lovable and intuitive ‘daily driver’ for users. Our goal is to ship clean, consistent, and engaging UI quickly across a complex B2B product. You will be integral to that work.
You’ll work closely with the Product Lead, Senior Designers, and engineering team members to support the day-to-day that let us ship high-quality experiences – from refining prototype flows into production‑ready UI to auditing and improving existing screens to running a tight spec/visual‑QA loop and driving alignment fast. You’ll also get hands‑on exposure to the projects and patterns that shape our product experience and design culture.
This is a role for someone who’s craft‑driven, systems‑minded, fast at iteration, and proactive. You’ll balance execution with learning, jumping in where help is needed while building a solid foundation in AI‑assisted prototyping, user research, and stakeholder management.
What’s In It for You?This role is both a learning opportunity and a chance to make an immediate impact. You’ll gain hands‑on experience across product UI craft and design systems, build confidence in rapid iteration, stakeholder alignment, and AI‑in‑the‑loop prototyping, and help shape the quality bar of Klue’s product UI.
If you excel in this role, there’s room to grow, potentially into a Senior UI Designer and take on broader platform ownership.
What You’ll DoPolish & Production: Refine low/medium‑fidelity flows into high‑quality, dev‑ready UI.
Audit and Improve: Look at modules, UI and patterns already in prod and propose improvements that would meaningfully improve user interactions.
Prototyping Alignment: Work with EPD colleagues to identify what design system elements (components, patterns, tokens, etc) and documentation would enable the team to prototype ‘system aligned’ UI faster – and minimize dev handoff work.
Spec & QA: Create clear handoff artifacts, review PRs, and lead visual QA before release.
Collaboration: Partner tightly with design and product colleagues to translate intent into pixel‑perfect, production‑ready designs.
AI Prototyping Loop: Use AI‑based prototyping tools (Replit, Framer AI, Galileo, v0, Uizard, etc.) to explore variations, capture feedback, and fold insights back into refined prototypes and design system updates.
User Feedback: Get user feedback to drive iteration cycles – could be through live user sessions, in‑product testing, or passive observation.
You’ll know you’re thriving when...
Users find joy in required or typically complex tasks.
Ambiguity (review cycles, QA misses) goes down, and team velocity goes up.
EPD members can create initial prototypes that align with existing patterns.
Must‑Haves:
Product Design
Experience:
3+ years designing digital products with a strong portfolio that demonstrates your process, systems thinking, and user outcomes.Modern design tools: Deep comfort with modern design tools (Figma, Penpot, Framer, etc.) and using them to iterate quickly, align stakeholders, and codify patterns.
AI‑tool Exposure: You have hands‑on experience with AI‑based tools to generate, define and improve designs – and to drive quick stakeholder alignment.
Craft Excellence: Meticulous attention to craft and detail. You have a strong grasp of visual fundamentals (layout, type, color, hierarchy, and spacing), and consistently elevate the quality of everything you touch.
Cross‑Functional Work: You’ve collaborated with team members to ship designs quickly — working with Product Managers to identify opportunities, with Engineers to navigate technical constraints and review implementations, and with stakeholders across the organization to align on solutions.
Communication
Skills:
Clear, proactive communication that keeps distributed teams aligned. You document decisions, articulate design rationale to diverse audiences, and create shared understanding across geographies and disciplines.
Experience simplifying complex B2B SaaS UIs.
Comfort designing for multi‑persona or permission flows.
