Position OverviewFoundation Health is seeking a licensed Orthopedist to join our growing specialist network. The successful candidate will provide orthopedic care, working closely with referring primary care providers and allied health teams to deliver comprehensive musculoskeletal services.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, diagnose, and manage a wide range of musculoskeletal and orthopedic conditions
- Provide timely specialist consultations and follow-up care
- Collaborate with family physicians, physiotherapists, and other specialists to develop coordinated care plans
- Review diagnostic imaging and investigations to guide treatment decisions
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely medical records in compliance with CPSO and organizational standards
- Participate in quality improvement, clinical governance, and patient safety initiatives
- Provide education and guidance to patients regarding treatment options, recovery, and prevention
- MD degree from an accredited medical school
- Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) in Orthopedic Surgery
- Currently registered for independent practice with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
- CMPA membership
- Hospital privileges (or eligibility to obtain privileges) in Ontario
- Strong clinical, interpersonal, and collaborative skills
- Established referral base through Foundation Health’s primary care network
- Administrative, scheduling, and billing support provided
- Access to allied health services including physiotherapy and rehabilitation providers
- Flexible scheduling options
