You’ll specifically be responsible for overseeing and co‑ordinating all on‑site signalling installation activities, ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and in compliance with technical requirements, project timelines, as well as regulatory standards.

We’ll look to you for:

  • Enforcing strict adherence to health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations and conducting toolbox talks and risk assessments
  • Overseeing subcontractors for the installation of signal equipment, such as signals, ETCS (European Train Control Solution) equipment, secondary cable containment, cables, and bungalows
  • Inspecting and verifying the quality of installations and materials used
  • Tracking and reporting daily/weekly/monthly progress and updating site logs
  • Maintaining accurate records of installation activities, test results, and site changes
  • Liaising with installation engineering, systems integration, and quality teams to resolve site issues

  • Familiarity with surveying, leveling, setting out works, and working at heights
  • Familiarity with brown field railway project
  • A certification in site safety training (e.g., WHMIS, First Aid) and railway systems/safety certification (CROR - Canadian Rail Operating Rules, PTS - Personal Track Safety)
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

  • Required to work on-site, including night shifts, weekends, and/or Statutory Holidays
  • Valid driver's license
