TBM Surveyor – Heavy Civil Construction Project at Protecnium

Protecnium is an international consulting firm specializing in engineering and technical services. We are seeking a Field Surveyor to join an on‑site construction project in Toronto, Canada. The role is expected to last approximately 2 years.

This position requires a versatile professional capable of collecting precise survey data across varied environments. Your proactive approach and technical proficiency will support successful execution of major civil projects.

• Assist Senior Surveyors during peak workload periods.
• Execute survey requests outside specific station areas.
• Collect data and conduct stakeouts related to the project network.
• Coordinate with the Digital Delivery department, supporting drone flights and other specific needs.
• Continuously improve surveying knowledge and skills.
• Mentor and support Survey Assistants in their professional development.
• Propose and implement measures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the survey section.
• Handle company materials responsibly and in accordance with safety protocols.
• Assist in establishing, measuring, and maintaining the Survey Network as required.
• Collaborate with other surveyors to ensure project objectives are met.

• Minimum 3 years of field surveying experience in tunnel/rail/subway/linear works/heavy civil construction projects or similar.
• Proficiency with survey equipment: laser scanners, total stations, GNSS receivers, digital levels (Leica preferred).
• Experience working with Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM) is highly valued.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Civil 3D, and point‑cloud software is advantageous.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing scenarios.

• Working hours:
  
  Monday‑Friday, 12‑hour shifts on a rotating schedule (2 weeks day / 2 weeks night).
• Canadian work visa handled by the company.
• Company provides phone, public transport bonus, and local health insurance fully paid.
• 22 working days of vacation per year plus project‑observed holidays.
• 5 sick leave days with 100 % salary.
