Fire & Life Safety Manager – Rail & Transit

We are expanding in Toronto and invite the best talent to grow with us. The Toronto office seeks a Fire & Life Safety Manager to work on rail projects (High Speed, Metro, LRT, streetcars). ResponsibilitiesThe Fire & Life Safety Manager will define the safety and fire protection strategy, review designs, identify and correct potential fire and life safety hazards, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards. The role coordinates with all disciplines to maintain safety throughout the project.
Requirements- Bachelor’s degree in engineering and a post‑graduate degree in Safety, Fire Engineering, Emergency Management, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Professional certification such as CFPS (Certified Fire Protection Specialist) or CSP (Certified Safety Professional) is desirable.
- At least 8–12 years of experience in a related role.
- Knowledge of fire safety standards and regulations (e.g., NFPA) and life‑safety standards (e.g., OSHA) applicable to infrastructure design projects.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Ability to work under high pressure and in emergency situations in a construction environment.
- Rail project experience is an asset.
