New Age is looking for a diligent and experienced Quality Engineer who will be accountable for all aspects of quality engineering for products throughout their life cycles including design & development, production and post-market, and driving quality improvement. This position will be responsible for managing program quality launches at existing/new contracted manufacturers; completing control plan requirements and ensuring all the products shipped meet quality standards and are regulatory compliant.

Providing a high level of product quality that exceeds customer expectations and monitoring the investigation and root causes analysis of quality-related issues.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement Quality Standards and Documentation including but not limited to Inspection Instruction, Standard Work, Instruction Bulletin, etc. and requirements for new and existing products.
  • Collaborate with contracted manufacturers to develop process flow diagram, control plan and manufacturing quality instructions.
  • Oversee pre-production samples review and production sign-off at contracted manufacturers.
  • Conduct internal testing and coordinate 3rd. party testing according to the test and certification plan.
  • Identify Critical-To-Quality (CTQ) parts, components and processes with the engineering team; implement effective action plan to assess and inspect the CTQ’s to mitigate risk of quality failures.
  • Qualify Tier-2 suppliers of CTQ’s parts/components through factory process audit.
  • Conduct factory QMS Audits including Surveillance Audits at potential and existing contracted manufacturers.
  • Review and assess factory’s manufacturing process capability at pre-production stage.
  • Support customer complaint responses to determine quality activities required to eliminate issues.
  • Lead technical troubleshooting/failure investigations involving manufacturing non- conformances and product failures by leading or participating in risk assessment and technical reviews.
  • Lead customer complaint and issue resolution through root cause analysis for supplier, production, and post market defects; develop, manage and maintain appropriate KPIs, use QA statistical tools and risk management to drive CAPA activity.
  • Work with Suppliers to Close out CAPA using problem solving tools such as 5Y,8D, Poka Yoke, FTA, A3, Six Sigma, etc.
  • Provide regular training to QC Inspectors on new and updated inspection criteria.
  • ECR review on design and process changes for effect on product and production performance.
