Position: Senior Staff Engineer, Quality and Reliability / Ingénieur Principal, Qualité et Fiabilité
The Senior Staff Engineer, Quality and Reliability (QRA), will serve as a technical leader in defining and executing quality and reliability strategies for MEMS products. This role is critical in ensuring that Stathera’s MEMS devices meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and compliance throughout the product lifecycle. The Sr. Staff Engineer will collaborate cross-functionally to drive qualification, risk mitigation, and continuous improvement initiatives across internal teams and external suppliers.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

Lead the development and execution of MEMS product qualification plans in alignment with customer and industry standards (e.g., AEC, JEDEC, ISO).

Provide technical guidance on reliability methodologies and qualification strategies to internal teams and external partners.

Act as a key technical interface between design, process, test, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment on quality and reliability requirements.

Drive root cause analysis and implement corrective/preventive actions (e.g., 8D, OCAP) for internal and supplier-related quality issues.

Support NPI programs by defining and executing reliability evaluations, qualification plans, and readiness reviews for mass production.

Collaborate with Supplier Quality Engineering (SQE) to assess supplier capabilities, conduct audits (e.g., ISO
9001), and validate quality systems.

Perform quality risk assessments across the product lifecycle and maintain traceable documentation of qualification milestones, issue resolution, and lessons learned.

Utilize statistical tools (e.g., JMP) to analyze yield, reliability, and quality data, and provide insights to drive continuous improvement.

Champion the use of quality tools and methodologies (e.g., PFMEA, PPAP, 5 Whys, fishbone diagrams) to enhance product robustness and process maturity.

Contribute to the development of internal standards, procedures, and best practices for MEMS quality and reliability engineering.

Mentor junior engineers and serve as a subject matter expert in MEMS reliability and semiconductor quality practices.

REQUIRED SKILLS

BS or MS in Engineering or related field with 7–10 years of experience in the semiconductor or MEMS industry.

Deep technical knowledge of MEMS and semiconductor fabrication, packaging, and test processes.

Proficiency in reliability testing methodologies (e.g., HTOL, HAST, THB, TCT, ESD) and failure analysis techniques.

Strong analytical skills and experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g., JMP) for quality and reliability data.

Familiarity with industry standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., AEC-Q100, JEDEC, ISO
9001, RoHS).

Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives and influence without direct authority.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills across global teams and suppliers.

Experience with quality systems, supplier audits, and continuous improvement frameworks.

Proficiency in quality engineering tools such as 8D, PFMEA, PPAP, and root cause analysis methodologies.
