An overview of your future role at BBA
You'll join our team of about 20turbine-generator specialists, working on hydroelectric projects across Canada. You’ll be based at our Toronto office. You’ll play a key role in all phases of engineering projects, ensuring exceptional technical quality of deliverables. Occasional site visits will also be part of your responsibilities. You’ll identify and develop new business opportunities as they arise. Finally, you’ll serve as mentor to support the growth of our Hydropower team.

Manage and perform various mechanical projects for turbines, generators, mechanical speed governors, bearing lubrication and cooling, balancing and alignment of rotating parts, hydromechanical valves and balance of plant for refurbishment projects and new hydroelectric powerplants / pumped storage projectsPlay a leading role in client communications for your mandatesBe a key team member in executing small to major modernization or new installation projectsSolve complex problems related to mechanical components in hydroelectric power plantsIdentify, plan and organize client needs to assess the condition of their units and conduct power upgrade studies (turbines and generators)Lead onsite inspections, diagnostics, commissioning and testingRepresent your area of expertise and promote it to potential clients and specialized groups in the hydropower sectorMentor and coach junior and intermediate engineers by actively sharing your knowledge and encouraging skill development within the teamFoster a workplace culture that promotes having fun while delivering high-quality professional workDo your qualities and goals match the BBA culture?
