Position Summary:Reporting to the Methods Manager, as part of a major program to build a maintenance center in Toronto, the incumbent will work within a multidisciplinary team in close collaboration with the production, industrial engineering, and health & safety teams.This role aims to develop efficient work methods that ensure high quality in the execution of new equipment for the maintenance of our new trains.We are looking to establish best work practices and standardize them across different production lines.The incumbent will be called upon to intervene and support operations as well as the management team during upcoming changes.ResponsibilitiesDevelop work instructions for the implementation of our new equipmentDefine work methods to improve quality and execution time of performed tasksParticipate in solving manufacturing issues in collaboration with suppliers, design engineers, and the production lineComplete technical and management files in collaboration with various stakeholders (production, engineering, quality, logistics...)Research and propose technical and economic solutions to improve workshop performanceEnsure work methods are safe and comply with health and safety standardsParticipate in mobilizing workshop employeesRequirements:College diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar disciplineto years of experience in an industrial environmentEnglish (spoken and written)French an assetExperience in an industrial workshop, ideally in commissioning new machines/toolsExperience in a unionized environmentStrong computer skills, particularly Microsoft ExcelAvailable for occasional travelAvailable to work all shifts occasionally
