Overview

Private Caregiver (Live in or Shifts)

• Execute CNA responsibilities consisting of assisting people with bathing, dressing, mobility, feeding and also medicine suggestions
• Acting as a companion to clients
• Transferring clients to and from appointments, errands, activities, and similar activities
• Managing medication
• Preparing meals
• Carrying out light housekeeping obligations (e.g., keeping rooms tidy, laundry)
• Maintaining appropriate care records and reporting changes to nursing staff
• Encouraging socialization and involvement in community activities
• Adhering to the person care plan
• Interacting with family members, co-workers and managers pertaining to care
• Assisting with transfers and mobility
• Running errands and supporting a safe and comfortable home environment
• Supportive of daily living activities and ensuring safety and comfort

• Must be legally enabled to function in Canada
• Police Check within 1 year
• Previous caregiver or international nursing experience is preferred
• First aid/CPR training is a plus
• Experience in caregiving: 1 year preferred
• COVID-19 considerations:
  Applicants may need to be fully vaccinated as specified by public health guidelines
• Ability to commute or relocate to North York, ON (employer-provided moving package if required)

• Job Types: term contract, part-time, permanent, informal, full-time
• Salary: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
• Schedule:
  
  10, 12, 4, or 8 hour shifts; day, evening, night, and weekend shifts; changing schedules
