Personal Support Worker

In-Home Assisted Living Inc. (Homecare) of Toronto is looking for compassionate, caring and reliable individuals to join our family as Caregivers/Personal Support Workers (PSW's) for our clients in downtown Toronto.Work setting is within private homes.

Location is Adelaide St.

E. & Parliament St.
Mon-Fri 4:30-8:30pm

As a IHAL employee, you will make a difference in the lives of our clients and their families through compassionate, client focused care especially during the Covid 19 pandemic.

How you will spend your days:
Basic Meal Preparation
Assistance with personal care, hygiene, and grooming (ADL’s)
Light Housekeeping (IADL’s vacuuming, laundry, dishes etc.)
Medication Reminders
Assisting clients with mobility, ambulation, and transfers-Using Hoyer and ceiling lifts
Providing companionship and emotional support
Responding to emergency situations
Complete daily shift reports to communicate with Case Managers

Success in this role:
Personal Support Worker Certificate
Foreign Nurse
Current CPR/First Aid Certification Preferred
Mobile phone (for timesheets and care plan updates)
Documentation skills
Ability to follow client care plan
Strong communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Excellent customer service skills
Valid Driver's License

Compensation:
$22.00 per hour.
