As the Director of Care, your key responsibilities will include :
Leading, mentoring, and managing the care team to ensure consistent, high-quality service delivery
Overseeing the development and implementation of individualized care plans
Monitoring care practices and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and standards
Promoting a culture of safety, empathy, and respect
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, families, and external partners
Driving quality improvement initiatives and contributing to organizational growth
Managing staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations for care team members
Acting as a key point of contact for residents, clients, and their families regarding care matters
Core

Qualifications:

Registered Nurse (RN) Status
Must be currently registered with an Ontario Registered Nurse License
Educational Background
A  Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)
Additional certifications in Nursing Administration or related fields are an asset
Experience
A minimum of 2 yearsof experience as a Director of Care in a long-term care setting.
Proven experience in nursing management, including supervisory and financial reporting.
Knowledge of Relevant Legislation
Demonstrated ability in areas such as:
Resident care planning and delivery
Quality improvement initiatives
Staff training and development
Budgeting and resource management
Compliance and regulatory reporting
