Eurofins Experchem Laboratories, Inc. is seeking a detail‑oriented and analytical Laboratory Technician specializing in Microbiology for a fixed‑term position in our Toronto facility. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to our cutting‑edge microbiology research and testing services.
Base Pay RangeCA $18.00/hr – CA $18.00/hr

Responsibilities- Demonstrate and promote the company vision.
- Ensure regular attendance and punctuality.
- Read, understand, and follow management system requirements, including Quality Manual, SOPs, Local Work Instructions, and Methods to comply with ISO/IEC 17025, AOAC, ALACC, and relevant regulations.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental regulations; maintain a clean, safe work environment.
- Register incoming samples, keep accurate records, and enter data into Eurofins eLIMS.
- Complete laboratory testing on all samples accurately and efficiently to meet turnaround time goals.
- Verify results and submit them promptly.
- Identify process difficulties, report them with proposed solutions.
- Maintain readiness to respond to clients, staff, and co‑workers.
- Maintain cooperative working relationships and communicate effectively across departments.
- Promote the company image through ethical business practices.
- Continuously strive to improve work quality through existing and new technologies.
- Identify non‑conformances and out‑of‑specifications.
- Conduct all activities safely and efficiently.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, or related scientific field.
- 1–2 years of experience in a microbiology laboratory setting.
- Proficiency in microbiology techniques, including aseptic techniques and sample preparation.
- Familiarity with common laboratory equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Responsive problem solver and action‑oriented.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Laboratory safety and WHMIS training.
- Troubleshooting skills for instrument maintenance.
- Technical knowledge of applicable test methods.
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays.
A laboratory environment with majority of time spent standing and working at a bench. Hazardous materials handled under established safety procedures with appropriate PPE. Lifting may apply. Extra hours, weekends, and evenings may be required per business needs.
