Overview

The Clerk II is responsible for entering all DI orders, including Cardiac/Respirology for scheduled and non-scheduled patients. Maintains an orderly flow of reports and images, both hard copy and electronic, throughout the DI Department for MGH. Acts as receptionist and performs clerical duties; may be required to check in patients for DI orders.

Education
  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent educational preparation.
  • Training related to office administration/office coordinator.
Experience
  • Must have 2 years of relevant recent experience working in a Diagnostic Imaging department.
  • CT booking experience required.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology required.
  • Knowledge of PACS required.
  • Recent experience in all DI Modality & Cardio Resp bookings required.
  • Recent experience with Cerner ESM scheduling required.
  • Recent experience with Oceans eReferral required.
  • Recent experience with Connecting Ontario required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Computer literacy required; demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent keyboarding skills.
  • Skill in use of Power chart, Anotos, SAP/SRM.
  • Demonstrates tact, diplomacy, and discretion in matters related to patients, staff, and hospital affairs.
  • Able to work independently as well as work in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Good work and attendance record required.
