Application Security Consultant

Overview

MUST RESIDE IN TORONTO, OTTAWA, OR VANCOUVER

As an Application Security Consultant, you will be responsible for performing security assessments on applications and cloud environments. This includes conducting vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, code reviews, and providing recommendations for remediation. The role involves collaborating with clients to understand their specific security requirements and developing tailored security solutions.

• Perform security assessments on applications and cloud environments
• Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and code reviews
• Provide remediation recommendations and work with clients to implement security improvements
• Collaborate with clients to understand security requirements and develop tailored security solutions

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent
• 2+ years of work experience in an Information Security role, with minimum 1 year in Application Security
• 1+ years of modern software development experience (API expertise is a plus)
• Strong understanding of secure software design, development methodologies, and principles
• Ability to identify and protect against web and mobile applications security vulnerabilities including those found in the OWASP Top 10 and CWE Top 25
