Overview
Esri Canada has an exceptional opportunity for an Information Security Analyst to join our Technology Infrastructure department.
Reporting to the Manager of Technology Infrastructure, the person in this role will be primarily responsible for implementing and maintaining the enterprise network, which includes corporate and regional LAN, WAN (SD-WAN), Internet access, and Wi‑Fi, along with overseeing IT security and safety of the computing environment from internal, external, and cyber threats.
Esri Canada's Data and Communications Network equipment is maintained and installed across all Esri Canada locations. Esri Canada's main Data Centre houses most of the equipment and serves as the main access area to Esri Canada's ICT infrastructure.
This role will be based remotely in Canada.

A Day in the Life of an Information Security Analyst at Esri Canada- Implementation and maintenance of Esri Canada’s corporate and regional HPE Aruba LAN, Palo Alto WAN (SD-WAN), Internet access, and HPE Aruba Wi‑Fi services, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Administration and maintenance of Palo Alto Firewall, Prisma Access, and Global Protect VPN to enforce secure and efficient access control across the organization.
- Implementation and maintenance of SOC 2 or ISO certifications.
- Design and enforce compliance standards, security policies, procedures, and best practices to protect organizational systems and sensitive data.
- Conduct compliance and security audits to ensure industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal governance are met.
- Perform regular vulnerability assessments and lead remediation efforts to address identified risks.
- Deploy and manage advanced network monitoring tools to proactively detect and respond to anomalies and potential security incidents.
- Regular monitoring of Azure workloads using Azure security and monitoring tools.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans to ensure swift and effective response to security events.
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation and user guides for networking and security systems to support internal teams and end users.
- Support corporate and regional infrastructure expansion, including network, telephony, electrical systems, cooling solutions, and UPS installations.
- University degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Administration, or a related discipline.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- Relevant certification in cybersecurity and network administration.
- Expertise in networking protocols, security architectures, and best practices.
- Expertise in security technologies such as firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and endpoint protection.
- Expertise in network segregation with Layer 2 (VLANs) and Layer 3 (subnets), with access controls (Private VLANs, ACLs, Firewalls).
- Expertise in Microsoft Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP systems.
- Expertise in SOC 2 or ISO certifications.
- Expertise in Security Information and Event Management (SIEM).
- Expertise in Managed Detection and Response (MDR).
- Exposure to Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans.
- Exposure to cybersecurity protocols and services.
- Exposure to Incident Response Plan.
- Strong leadership and managerial skills to lead a team and drive security initiatives.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills to address complex security and network issues.
- Effective communication skills to convey complex technical concepts to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects, ensuring timely and successful completion.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
At Esri Canada, we are committed to fair and competitive compensation. The base salary range for this role is $72,000 to $80,500, based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
