The Service Now Engineer will be a part of Equitable Bank’s Service Now Centre of Excellence. Primary responsibilities include designing, developing, and supporting Service Now applications, workflows, catalog items, and integrations.
As a Service Now Engineer, you will contribute to the Bank’s Service Now instance using industry-standard practices and procedures while safeguarding the integrity and hygiene of the Service Now instance. You will be responsible for production support, development, testing, and documentation of the solutions you build. Reporting to the Manager, Service Now Centre of Excellence, the developer will ensure that all reported service requests/changes/incidents/problems are triaged and addressed in a timely manner through to resolution.
The Service Now Developer will also be responsible to ensure the business units are kept informed on the status of the issues reported and work with them to establish interim solutions until the reported issue is fully resolved. The development of working relationships with Service Now implementation partners, as well as Business stakeholders is an integral part of this role.
Core Responsibilities of the Job
- Service Now Development:
Design, develop, and implement Service Now applications, modules, and integrations using best practices and industry standards. - Customization and Configuration:
Customize and configure Service Now modules and workflows to meet specific business requirements and improve overall system functionality. - Application Design:
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze business needs and translate them into functional requirements and technical specifications for Service Now applications. - Integration Development:
Develop andmaintainintegrations between Service Now and other external systems, applications, and databases, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability. - Automation and Scripting:
Utilize scripting languages such as JavaScript and Service Now-specific scripting tools to automate tasks, create business rules, and enhance system functionalities. - Technical Support:
Provide technical support and troubleshootingassistanceto users, addressing issues related to Service Now applications, configurations, and integrations. - Testing and Quality Assurance:
Conduct thorough testing and debugging of Service Now applications to ensure accuracy, performance, and reliability,identifying and resolving any defects or issues. - Documentation:
Create detailed technical documentation, including system designs, configuration guides, and user manuals, tofacilitateeffective system maintenance, support, and knowledge transfer. - Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including implementation partners,business analysts, system administrators, project managers,and the Manager, Service Now Centre of Excellence to ensure successful project delivery andtimelyresolution of issues. - Teamwork:
Participate in group and peer code review sessions for quality assurance and adherence to standardized practices. - Release Management:
