Senior Business Analyst with Capital Markets experience and Calypso expertise to support our banking client's clearing house onboarding project
Duration
: 6-12 Months
Location: Toronto (Hybrid, 2x week)
Our client’s Interest Rate & Credit Derivatives Technology group is seeking a Senior Business Analyst with strong Capital Markets experience to support a strategic initiative to onboard a new entity to a clearing house. The project is centered around the Calypso collateral management module, with a focus on collateral, settlements, and clearing workflows.
This individual will work closely with technology, operations, and collateral management teams to analyze current-state processes, define future-state requirements, and support solution design and delivery.
Responsibilities
Lead end-to-end business analysis for onboarding an entity to a clearing house within the Calypso platform.Work extensively within the Calypso Collateral Management and Settlements modules (less emphasis on front office).Conduct detailed requirements gathering, stakeholder interviews, and workflow analysis.Perform data mapping and document trade, collateral, and settlement data flows across systems.Develop high-quality BRDs, functional specifications, process maps, and solution design documents.Translate business requirements into system and functional changes within Calypso.Collaborate with development teams throughout the SDLC to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly.Support testing activities (test case creation, validation of collateral and settlement workflows, clearing model behavior).Work with upstream/downstream partners across Technology, Operations, Risk, and Collateral teams.Use SQL to validate data, perform investigations, and support analysis activities.Leverage Market Wire for workflow analysis and messaging validation within the Calypso environment.Must Haves:
7+ years of Business Analysis experience in Capital Markets environments.Strong understanding of Interest Rate and Credit Derivatives
, clearing workflows, settlements, and collateral processes.Hands-on experience with Calypso
, specifically:Collateral Management moduleSettlements and clearing workflowsFront-to-back trade lifecycle (nice to have, but not FO-heavy)Proven ability to create BRDs, functional specs, solution designs
, and process documentation.Experience designing or influencing technology solutions, not just gathering requirements.Proficiency with SQL for data analysis and mapping.Experience with Market Wire and Calypso messaging integrations.Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills.Ability to work with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced capital markets environment.Nice to Have
Experience onboarding entities to clearing houses / CCPs (e.g., CME, ICE, LCH).Knowledge of collateral optimization and margin models.Prior work within large banking environments
