We are seeking an experienced IBM Mainframe Administrator with 8–10 years of hands-on expertise in mainframe technologies and enterprise systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, problem-solving capabilities, and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
Location - Downtown (Hybrid - 3 to 4 days office and remaining remote)
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Provide support for IBM z15 hardware and operating environments.
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot mainframe subsystems and related components.
• Ensure system uptime, reliability, and performance in 24/7 enterprise environments.
• Install, configure, and maintain CICS Transaction Server regions.
• Support and optimize CICS applications, transactions, and system definitions (RDO).
• Manage CICS performance tuning, debugging, and transaction analysis.
• Ensure compliance with security, audit, and operational standards.
• Configure, administer, and optimize IBM MQ queue managers, channels, and queues.
• Manage MQ security, SSL configurations, clustering, and message routing.
• Troubleshoot message flow issues and ensure reliable integration between applications.
• Support IMS DB and IMS TM environments, including database maintenance and transaction management.
• Perform IMS system updates, tuning, and performance optimization.
• Assist application teams with IMS database access, utilities, and transaction debugging.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• 8–10 years of experience in IBM mainframe administration.
• Strong knowledge of IBM Mainframe Z15
• Expertise in CICS, MQ, IMS, COBOL, and JCL.
• Proven experience in system performance tuning and issue resolution.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment.
• Language:
English (bilingual in English and French is an asset).
