Our client, a Top 5 Canadian Bank, is looking to hire a Data Lead - Capital Markets Data Governance for a 12-month contract. This is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence at their downtown Toronto location (2-3 days per week).

Must-Have Skills

3-5 years of experience in data governance, data quality, and metadata management.

Strong Capital Markets experience with knowledge of Front Office workflows and regulatory requirements.

Hands-on experience with Jira, Confluence, and MS Office Suite (Excel - VLOOKUP, pivot tables; Visio).

Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders across business and technology functions.

Strong communication skills, able to translate technical concepts into business-friendly language.

Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as BCBS
239, Dodd Frank, EMIR, MiFID, CAT NMS, and IIROC.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Previous experience working in a Big 5 Canadian Bank or similar financial institution.

Technical expertise in SQL, Databricks, Alteryx.

Familiarity with Purview or other enterprise data management tools.

Experience as a Business Systems Analyst or with testing and data quality rule implementation.
