Reporting to the Program Lead, Governance and Strategy (G&S), the Corporate Data and Information Specialist is responsible for the operations of the existing organization‑wide records and information management program and helping to make sure it is responsive to emerging business requirements. It also supports the management of corporate data and information to enable reporting, dashboards and data‑driven strategy management. This role helps to shape the effective governance and use of enterprise data and information to enhance corporate planning, performance measurement, monitoring strategic risk and business intelligence.
Whatyou’ll do
- Assist the Program Lead and Manager to shape and advance the governance and management of corporate data and information.
- Act as the subject matter expert supporting the operational delivery, maintenance, communication and monitoring of the organization’s Records and Information Management (RIM) program, including implementing and updating policies, procedures and systems in line with best practice, industry developments and continuous improvement.
- Contribute to the team’s role as strategic partner for RIM by providing guidance to management and other teams, and conducting corporate training for RIM policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure adoption, compliance and organizational awareness and accountability for effective information management as a core component of business excellence.
- Assist with program development alongside digital transformation and modernization initiatives, including the organizational use of AI and RIM requirements.
- Support efforts to ensure compliance with legislative, regulatory, and policy requirements related to the management, retention, and protection of records and information.
- Support the integration, interoperability and mobilization of corporate planning, performance measurement and strategic risk data and information.
- Develop dashboards and reports that leverage G&S data and information to enable business analytics and data‑driven decision making and strategy management.
- Contribute to the integration of best practices and use of technology in data and information governance and management to enable data‑by‑design approaches in fulfilling team accountabilities.
- Collaborate with other teams, such as IT, Privacy and Legal Services, Information Security, Transformation Office, PMO and Finance, to align on and coordinate related areas of accountability.
- Support the development and delivery of training, guidance, and tools to build organizational literacy in corporate data and information governance and management.
- Undergraduate degree in Information Management, Library Sciences, Data Governance, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in enterprise data and records information management to support corporate business requirements.
