Job Description
As a Staff Machine Learning Engineer, you will be leading the charge in developing cutting-edge AI solutions within the mobile gaming and Ad-Tech industries. Your experience in ad-tech and advertising will be instrumental in constructing sophisticated recommendation systems that elevate user experience and business performance. Reporting to the Director of Data Science and Machine Learning, you will contribute to high-impact projects that drive our products towards global success.

What you'll do at Mistplay

Lead and drive forward the design, implementation, and optimization of complex machine learning models and recommendation systems that address core business challenges, particularly within the ad tech sector.

Oversee end-to-end data science projects that influence critical business areas such as user personalization, dynamic pricing, user segmentation, and marketing attribution models.

Work effectively with Product, Marketing, and Engineering teams to define, develop, and launch data-driven solutions.

Create, scrutinize, and optimize predictive models, recommendation algorithms, and A/B testing frameworks for maximizing user engagement and monetization.

Mentor junior data scientists and oversee technical initiatives across the team, fostering a collaborative and effective data science environment.

Actively contribute to Mistplay's data science thought leadership by delivering insights, leading discussions, presenting at industry events, and representing Mistplay externally.

What you'll bring to Mistplay

8+ years of experience in Data Science or Machine Learning, preferably in the ad tech and advertising space, with a strong focus on recommendation and recommender systems.

Expertise in Python, advanced Machine Learning libraries (e.g., Tensor Flow, PyTorch), SQL, and large-scale data processing.

Experience with deploying machine learning models at scale in production environments and knowledge of MLOps practices.

Experience in developing and deploying DNN algorithms in production.

Strong grounding in statistics, hypothesis testing, and advanced analytics to identify trends and patterns.

Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey complex concepts to a range of stakeholders and drive strategic discussions.

Demonstrated ability to adapt to fast-changing circumstances and pioneer high-stakes projects advancing business goals.

Nice-to-have skills

Expertise in causal inference techniques and experience designing robust A/B testing methodologies.

Track record of working on recommendation systems tailored for advertising and user engagement.

Familiarity with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning within the ad tech industry and a passion for continuously driving innovation.
