Responsibilities

Works in partnership with clients, advising them on information technology in order to meet their business objectives or overcome problems, work to improve structure and efficiency of an organizations I&IT systems. The I&IT Consultant may be used to provide strategic guidance to organizations with regard to Information Management & IT technology, IT infrastructures and the enablement of major business processes through enhancements to IT.

Provides subject matter expertise in their field and highly expert technical assistance. General Skills Acts as the technical advisor/expert on all aspects of a specific deliverable Provide the quality assurance/quality control of specific deliverables Anticipates and resolves problems to ensure that the deliverables are completed within budget, to the highest quality, meeting or exceeding expectations Develops processes and procedures for implementing deliverables Prepares reports and presentations including options, recommendations, implementation plans, etc.

Works with clients to define the scope of a project and to determine requirements Defines software, hardware and network requirements Analyzes I&IT requirements giving independent and objective advice on the use of I&IT Designs, tests, installs and monitors new systems and develops solutions and implementation of new systems Familiar with change-management principles and methodology Knowledge and understanding of Information Management principles, concepts, policies and practices

Experience and Skill Set Requirements

Please note this role is part of a Hybrid Work Arrangement and resource(s) will be required to work at a minimum of 2 days per week at 5775 Yonge St.

Must-Haves:

Hands-on experience administering large-scale Oracle databases on RAC

Hands-on experience with Oracle Data Guard and Oracle Golden Gate data replication, including setting up and configuring Golden Gate for data replication from on-premises databases to cloud environments.

Understanding of change data capture (CDC) concepts and implementation.

Ability to optimize database performance and ensure data integrity during replication processes.

Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for Oracle databases.

Technical Knowledge and experience - 50%

· Hands-on experience administering large-scale Oracle databases on RAC

· Hands-on experience with Oracle Data Guard and Oracle Golden Gate data replication, including setting up and configuring Golden Gate for data replication from on-premises databases to cloud environments.

· Understanding of change data capture (CDC) concepts and implementation.

· Ability to optimize database performance and ensure data integrity during replication processes.

· Experience with configuring and managing Oracle Golden Gate Big Data Edition

· Familiarity with Azure cloud services, especially Azure Storage and its integration with databases.

· Experience in deploying and managing data solutions in Azure.

· Knowledge of creating and managing flat files, including various data formats for storage in Azure.

· Understanding of best practices for data organization and retrieval in cloud storage.

· Experience with Azure Databricks or similar big data processing platforms.

· Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell, SQL) to automate data replication and processing tasks.

· Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools.

· Experience with Dev Ops methodologies and tools to streamline database deployment and management processes.

· Ability to collaborate with development teams to integrate database management into automated workflows and enhance overall operational efficiency.

· Proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL for Oracle databases.

· Expert-level knowledge of best practices for implementing data masking in enterprise environments.

· Deep understanding of Oracle Database 19c, including its architecture, features, and performance optimization on Exadata platforms.
