Legal Technology Training Specialist

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule, coordinate and conduct software training sessions for new and existing employees;
  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees seeking technical assistance with software applications and related systems;
  • Create and update training materials including manuals, presentations, exercises and “how-to” tips to ensure that they are comprehensive and engaging;
  • Analyze training needs and create programs accordingly, ensuring that they address specific gaps in knowledge and skills
  • Provide ongoing training and support to employees on all software applications, ensuring employees stay up to date with system updates and best practices;
  • Assess employee performance, offer personalized guidance and deliver constructive feedback;
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements to content as needed;
  • Troubleshoot and resolve routine software issues reported by employees, referring more complex problems to the IT Department for advanced support;
  • Collaborate with the IT Department to test software and evaluate its effectiveness in meeting the Firm’s needs, enhancing both user experience and software performance;
  • Document and track all support requests, ensuring issues are properly logged, tracked, and resolved within appropriate timeframes;
  • Provide clear, easy to follow instructions and guidance to employees to resolve software issues, ensuring minimal disruption to their work;
  • Keep up to date with software updates and new features and communicate any changes to all employees.
  • Qualifications

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in designing and delivering software training, technical support, or a related role;
  • College diploma or university degree in computer science, information technology, or related software field;
  • Prior experience working in a law firm or professional services environment would be an asset;
  • Strong knowledge of software applications Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe, Net Documents, and accounting software such as Soluno);
  • Ability to design and develop engaging and effective training programs;
  • Experience in troubleshooting and resolving software and system issues;
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail, identifying issues, and providing effective solutions for software challenges;
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes in software, office procedures, or firm needs;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in delivering training and providing technical support;
  • Proven time management and organizational skills;
  • Maintains professionalism, integrity, responsibility and a proactive attitude in all interactions with employees and management;
  • Ability to effectively work in teams to resolve issues and enhance training;
  • Ability to build rapport with employees and create a positive learning experience;
  • Ability to identify and address any issues that employees may encounter.
