What is the opportunity?Join our Loss Mitigation team as a Summer Analyst and gain hands-on experience in minimizing financial risks and optimizing collections strategies. This role is ideal for students passionate about finance, analytics, and problem-solving, offering exposure to cross-functional collaboration and data-driven decision-making.
What you will do?

Analyze trends in financial losses, delinquencies, or risk exposures using quantitative tools.

Assist in developing and implementing strategies to mitigate losses and improve recovery processes.

Prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Support senior team members in evaluating risk models, policy adherence, and workflow efficiencies.

Collaborate with teams (e.g., Risk Management, Operations) to resolve issues and streamline procedures.

What do you need to succeed?
Must-have

Currently enrolled at a Canadian post-secondary institution with a focus on data science, computer science, mathematics, statistics, machine learning

Leadership acumen and a passion to apply it in a dynamic business environment

Excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written)

Creative and analytical thinker who is self-driven and capable of working in a fast paced environment

Experience in data analysis/visualization tools (e.g., SQL, Python, R, Tableau)

Ability to data extract, transform, and load processes with a variety of data types

Ability to perform complex data analysis on large volumes of data and present findings to stakeholders

Strong MS Office skills – Word, Outlook, Excel and Power Point

Nice-to-have

Relational database concepts and design experience

Ability to learn and absorb new concepts (in business and in systems) quickly and apply new knowledge

Please note: This posting is for a 4-months Summer 2026 Student placement with a start date of May 2026, and end date of August 2026. In order to be eligible for this 4-months Student position, you must either:

Be returning back to school after the work term end-date of August 2026 ; or

If you are not returning back to school (i.e. are graduating in August 2026), you must require the full 4-months work term as a mandatory component to in order to graduate successfully.
