Location: Hybrid – Toronto, ON, Canada
- The Digital Product Designer – Advanced (Interaction/Visual Designer) will join the Avion Rewards team, focusing on improving digital experiences for Avion Rewards' authenticated website, primarily within retail, eCommerce, and marketing rather than banking.
- Reporting to the Design Lead, the role supports various squads to deliver advanced design solutions with opportunities for growth in a collaborative, senior-level team.
- Design and deliver high-quality interaction and visual solutions for Avion Rewards squads, including Travel, Redemption, and Everyday Value.
- Collaborate closely with product managers, project managers, business analysts, developers, and QA teams.
- Balance day-to-day design needs while supporting and learning from senior team members.
- Lead or support design deliverables from conceptualization through to ready-for-development handoffs using Figma, Mural, and design systems.
- Participate in design research and integrate data-led approaches into design decisions.
- Ensure designs meet accessibility standards and leverage established visual brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with marketing to ensure consistency throughout the user journey.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and foster cross-functional collaboration within squads.
- Minimum 5 years of product design experience (or 7 years combined in Interaction and Visual Design roles).
- Demonstrable experience in retail, eCommerce, loyalty programs, responsive web, and mobile app design.
- Expert proficiency in Figma; comfortable with Mural and other design/prototyping/collaboration tools.
- Ability to articulate and rationalize design strategy and decisions.
- Experience with Lean UX, Agile teams, usability research, and leveraging user behavior data for design decisions.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills, including strong English proficiency in written and verbal communication.
- Prior work with loyalty, retail, or ecommerce programs.
- Experience creating user journeys, wireframes, IA, and visual brand design assets.
- Exposure to product management, BA, and collaborative roles within larger organizations.
- Participated in or supported various user research methods.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud tools.
