Senior Finance Business Partner, Platform Strategy

Position Overview

At Autodesk, we make software for those who design and make the world – from architects and developers to product designers and media creators. We are entering an exciting new phase of growth, fueled by Platform investments and AI innovation. This role sits at the intersection of finance, strategy and emerging technologies, serving as the primary finance partner to the Vice President of Platform Strategy.

You will help define and measure the value of Autodesk’s Platform and AI initiatives, translating complex innovation into financial insights that drive strategic decision making. This is a high visibility role with exposure to senior leaders, offering the opportunity to directly shape our long-term growth trajectory.

Responsibilities

Develop and articulate a company wide financial value proposition for platform investments

Build and maintain business models and forecasts for emerging initiatives in AI, including industry specific foundation models, assistants, agents, and LLM applications

Define and track KPIs tied to platform and AI impacts on Autodesk’s product growth and revenue

Lead corporate planning deliverables under the purview of the CTO, ensuring clarity and alignment across business and finance stakeholders

Provide data backed narratives for executive audiences

Minimum Qualifications

10+ years in corporate finance, investment banking, or management consulting with a focus on strategy or technology

Proven ability to influence and collaborate with cross functional leaders, including senior executives

Understanding and interest in emerging AI technologies

Advanced financial modeling skills

Strong written and verbal communication skills with a knack for distilling complexity into executive ready insights

MBA or equivalent advanced degree a plus

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Canada-BC based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $123,700 and $170,060. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
