Quality Assurance Specialist - Ministry Experience

Key Responsibilities- Lead and contribute to the development of test strategy, preparation of test cases and scenarios, test scripts, regression test cases and scenarios required to verify solution and system, and testing summary reporting at the end of testing cycles.
- Manage and schedule all test activities including test case development, Dev Ops maintenance activities, AODA and stress/load testing.
- Lead team and participate in the execution of test cases and scripts to verify solution. Reconcile, manage, record and track system or functional defects, break/fixes identified during unit, system, functional, business and user acceptance testing.
- Review functional and design specifications to ensure full understanding of individual deliverables.
- Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan.
- Identify any potential quality issues per defined process and elevate potential quality issues to management.
- Develop, document, and maintain functional, system and UAT test cases and other test artifacts like the test plans, test scripts, test data, test summary reports and data validation.
- Supervise and participate in executing manual test cases and report test results. Oversee the documentation of software defects and track resolution and communicate defect‑related issues to project team.
- Development of test plans, test cases and test scripts to validate the functionality of various modules.
- Ability to create test plan, test cases and test scripts to validate those changes made to the application.
- Support User Acceptance Testing and lead initial UAT sessions, providing guidance to the business users during UAT.
- Review user documentation and provide feedback to improve application alignment and clarity of the information.
- Management and maintenance of defect log and communication of defect‑related issues to project manager and project team.
- Working closely with QA teams, business resources and developer’s vendor resources holding or supporting triage sessions to ensure appropriate, logging, tracking, monitoring, prioritization and remediation of defects.
- Prepare test data sets that mimic real‑world scenarios, ensuring the data covers a wide range of cases and scenarios.
- Ability to create and execute database queries to extract relevant data.
- Execute and evaluate manual/automated test cases and report test results.
- Hold, facilitate, or support test plan/test case reviews with cross‑functional team members.
- 8+ years of demonstrated QA experience, including leading QA teams, defect tracking using a collaborative tool to manage defects and change request and to communicate status of these to all project participants.
- Demonstrated experience working with clients and technical teams to ensure effective resolution of defects and management of change requests are complete.
- Knowledge and experience in the use of version control systems on one or more platforms, preferably Microsoft Dev Ops.
- Knowledge and experience in all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle.
