Business Intelligence Analyst – CBC/Radio‑Canada
Join to apply for the Business Intelligence Analyst role at CBC/Radio‑Canada.
Responsibilities- Collect business requirements from stakeholders and translate them into data questions for the BI team to solve in a timely and actionable manner.
- Conduct sophisticated analyses (descriptive, predictive, prescriptive) that may involve multiple analysts or stakeholder groups.
- Enhance the quality and scale of insights generated by the team through deep business domain knowledge and applied data science.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with product teams, marketing, customer success, and analytics counterparts at Radio‑Canada.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, visualizations, and data products in Power
BI and Azure Databricks/Delta Lake. - Perform data engineering tasks such as extracting, cleaning, and transforming large clickstream and event datasets.
- 1–4 years of experience working with complex unaggregated data, especially clickstream or event data.
- Proven ability to apply data analysis and data science methods to business problems and deliver data products that have moved the needle.
- Strong analytical mindset with knowledge of behavioral signal analysis, advanced SQL (CTE, window functions, nested queries), and advanced Power
BI (DAX). - Experience with enterprise analytics platforms such as Amplitude, Adobe Analytics, or similar.
- Comfort handling very large datasets (millions or billions of rows) and knowledge of statistical concepts such as correlation, regression, and significance.
- Python expertise is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously in an open, ambiguous environment and to collaborate in cross‑functional teams.
- Preferential experience in digital media or broadcast (not required).
- Training and mentorship experience.
- Interest in emerging technologies and continuous learning.

- Proficiency in version control (Git) and knowledge of cloud environments (e.g., Azure).
