We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our Products & Technology team in Toronto in the role of Application Support Analyst
. You will be part of a growing product development team that delivers new and existing products and services within the Pensions group.

Responsibilities
  • Elicit, document, and analyze business requirements, processes, and workflows
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their needs, objectives, and challenges
  • Ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end‑user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues
  • Contribute to the identification and escalation of gaps within the business requirements and testing scenarios that could impact testing
  • Anticipate issues and make recommendations to mitigate risks; support ad‑hoc analysis to identify the root cause of issues and resolve issues in a timely manner ensuring minimal disruption to stakeholders
  • Extract data from various source systems and data stores
  • Participate in activities related to year‑end system updates
  • Recommend and implement solutions based on analysis of issues and implications for the business
  • Understand and communicate financial and operational impact of any changes
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with multiple levels of clients, team, and partners
  • Collaborate with IT and Business staff to recommend and develop solutions for identified business requirements and needs
Qualifications
  • Post‑secondary education / accreditation in a job‑related field or related experience
  • Good understanding of Pension Administration is preferred
  • A track record of “thinking outside the box” and looking at a challenge through multiple lenses
  • Experience applying innovative solutions and working with business stakeholders to challenge the status quo, deliver solutions that tackle business problems and meet business requirements
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure to meet deadlines
  • Hands‑on experience with application performance monitoring (APM) and logging tools
  • Proven ability to configure dashboards, set up monitors/alerts, and analyze metrics to ensure application stability and performance
  • Strong proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries for both Oracle and Postgre

    SQL databases
  • Experience in troubleshooting database connectivity, performance bottlenecks, and executing data management tasks
  • Practical experience supporting applications deployed in cloud environments like GCP (Google Cloud Platform) and Azure
  • Experience navigating and utilizing CI/CD platforms like Git Lab, Git Hub, or Azure Dev Ops to understand build and release pipelines
  • Experience creating scripts to parse logs, query APIs, or manage application configurations is highly desirable
  • Strong understanding of the full application lifecycle and how different technology stacks interact
