Experience and Skill Set Requirements

Technical Knowledge - 30%

Extensive hands‑on experience with Catalyst based business registry and/or occupational registry systems and their related data models.

Extensive experience using Oracle databases & structured SQL‑based query languages.

Proven ability to provide technical recommendations and create technical artefacts regarding database schemas, queries, data extracts, reports and DB performance while working within system and/or environment constraints

Extensive hands‑on experience working with an n‑tier J2EE‑based portal and web application server environment including enterprise service bus, Data Power and standards‑based web services

Previous hands‑on experience with applications built on IBM Web Sphere Portal, IBM Web Sphere Application Server and WSRP‑based applications

Experience developing and supporting dashboards in Microsoft Databricks

Documentation - 15%

• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with creating architecture artifacts
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience with developing Technical and Application Design Documents
• Documentation/knowledge transfer to full‑time project technical staff.

System Analysis, Testing and Integration - 20%

• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills; excellent verbal/written communication skills and interpersonal/negotiation skills.
• Good understanding of systems environments, business analysis and change management.
• Experience using and maintaining automated system testing tools such as HP UFT and Selenium
• Familiarity and experience with testing web accessibility, WCAG 2.0 Level A & AA, as well as Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and related regulations (e.g. IASR)

Public Sector Experience - 5%

• Understanding of Public Sector IT methodologies and standards
• Knowledge of GO-IT Standards(GO-ITS) and Enterprise Architecture
• Experience working in a highly complex, unionized and multi‑stakeholder environment
• Understanding of Ontario Business Registry system (ONBIS) and business process, knowledge of Catalyst
