Are you a seasoned professional with a proven track record in installing, configuring, and maintaining access control systems, surveillance cameras, intercoms, and security equipment? We are looking for a Network Engineer or Network Specialist with extensive field experience and a passion for delivering high-performance solutions in dynamic, real-world environments.
Key Responsibilities:Installation & Configuration:- Lead on-site installations of access control systems, surveillance cameras, intercoms, and related security hardware.
- Configure and integrate hardware and software systems with Grata’s innovative smart living platform.
- Test and troubleshoot installed systems to ensure peak functionality and reliability.
- Design, implement, and maintain robust network solutions tailored to support IoT devices and security systems.
- Ensure all network configurations comply with security standards and deliver consistent performance under diverse conditions.
- Provide efficient on-site and remote technical support to clients, resolving system issues promptly.
- Perform regular maintenance, firmware updates, and system diagnostics to maintain long-term system performance.
- Partner with developers, property owners, and contractors to understand project requirements and deliver seamless integrations.
- Work closely with Grata’s engineering and technical teams to refine installation processes and address client-specific needs.
- Develop comprehensive documentation for system configurations, installations, and troubleshooting processes.
- Train clients and on-site teams on the use and maintenance of installed systems to ensure optimal usability.
- Stay informed on emerging trends in networking and system security to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Implement and maintain best practices to safeguard data and system integrity.
- A minimum of 5+ years of hands-on experience installing and configuring access control systems, surveillance cameras, intercoms, and security devices.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing installations across various environments, including multifamily housing and commercial properties.
- In-depth understanding of networking protocols, firewalls, routers, and switches.
- Familiarity with IoT systems and cloud-based platforms for modern integrations.
- Expertise in system diagnostics, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of security standards, encryption technologies, and compliance protocols.
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams.
- CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent certifications in networking.
- Certifications in security and access systems (e.g., Salto, ICT, Genetec, Hikvision, or Axis) are a significant advantage.
