QA Test Lead - ISO 20022 Rollout

– Job Description

The QA Test Lead - ISO 20022 Rollout is responsible for leading integrated test strategy and planning across multiple work streams for a large-scale ISO 20022 payments program. The role involves applying senior-level QA leadership and payment-domain knowledge to coordinate testing activities, align test plans, identify risks, and ensure successful delivery across channels impacted by the ISO 20022 SR2026 mandate.

QA Test Lead - ISO 20022 Rollout – Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate integrated test strategy and planning across multiple work streams.
• Facilitate planning and alignment sessions with stakeholders across the ISO 20022 program.
• Review test plans across program work streams to ensure alignment on milestones and deliverables.
• Identify risks to key dates and milestones and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Communicate testing progress and status to the program manager and elevate blockers as needed.
• Work with various work streams to develop and maintain an integrated test strategy.
• Create and manage test cycles and dashboards (e.g., in Confluence / X-Ray) and track test ticket status.
• Support defect triage processes and ensure timely resolution of issues.
• Collaborate closely with technical and business teams in a complex banking / payments environment.

QA Test Lead - ISO 20022 Rollout – Mandatory Skills

• 10+ years of experience as a QA professional, including hands-on and lead responsibilities.
• 8–10 years of experience developing test strategies and test plans, bridging gaps and resolving misalignment across teams.
• 8+ years of experience facilitating sessions across multiple work streams or project teams.
• Experience working on ISO 20022 or similar large-scale payment modernization programs.
• 8+ years of experience with tools such as Confluence and JIRA/X-Ray for creating test execution cycles, tracking, and reporting.
• 8+ years of experience with QA processes including automation and defect triage.
• Strong experience with test tools such as Selenium and Postman.
• Proven background in payments within large financial institutions.
• Previous experience working with top-tier banks or major financial institutions

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).

QA Test Lead - ISO 20022 Rollout – Nice-to-Have Skills

• Prior experience specifically with ISO 20022 SR2026 rollout or similar SWIFT / wire payment transformation programs.
• Experience setting up or optimizing X-Ray dashboards and test reporting in complex programs.
• Experience in large, multi-stream transformation initiatives within capital markets or global banking.

QA Test Lead - ISO 20022 Rollout – Assignment Length

This is a Contract position with an approximate duration of 10 months (to end of November), with a possibility of extension based on performance and business needs.

The expected start date is ASAP (subject to onboarding and background checks).
