Job Title:

Director of Information Technology

Workplace Type:  Hybrid - 3 days per week in office (Mon-Wed)

VP, Information Technology

Job Summary:

The Director of Information Technology is responsible for leading the company's IT operations, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of all IT services to internal and external stakeholders. The Director will oversee a team of IT professionals in areas including Service Desk, Service Delivery, Networking, System Administration, Application Support, Data Centre, Vendor Management, and Point of Sales. The successful candidate will be an experienced leader with a proven track record in managing complex IT operations, as well as exceptional communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the development and implementation of IT policies, procedures, and standards to ensure the delivery of high-quality IT services.

Manage the Service Desk and Service Delivery functions to ensure timely resolution of IT issues and incidents, and to provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders.

Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's networking infrastructure, including WAN, LAN, WLAN, and VPN.

Manage the system administration function, including the provisioning, configuration, and maintenance of all IT systems and servers.

Lead the application support function, ensuring that all business-critical applications are available, functional, and secure at all times.

Manage the company's Data Centre, including the planning, design, and implementation of all infrastructure and services.

Oversee vendor management, including the selection, negotiation, and management of all IT vendors and service providers.

Manage the Point of Sales function, including the installation, configuration, and maintenance of all POS systems.

Develop and manage the IT budget, ensuring that all expenditures are within budget and aligned with the company's strategic goals.

Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in the IT field, and recommend strategies for incorporating them into the company's IT operations.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in IT operations, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

Proven experience in managing IT operations in areas such as Service Desk, Service Delivery, Networking, System Administration, Application Support, Data Centre, Vendor Management, and Point of Sales.

Strong technical knowledge of IT infrastructure, systems, and applications.

Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Proven experience in budget management and resource allocation.

Strong vendor management skills, including the ability to negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships.

ITIL, PMP, or other relevant certifications are desirable.
