Northbridge Underwriters customize solutions for our commercial clients when they need insurance product. They work closely with our extensive broker network to develop unique solutions for all classes of risk while being responsible for servicing increasingly complex accounts in accordance with existing guidelines and business objectives.

The Underwriting Specialist is responsible for underwriting and servicing increasingly complex accounts in accordance with established guidelines and business objectives in the achievement of national standards for data quality and service level agreements.

Underwriting Specialists are experts in their field and passionate about maintaining strong relationships with our brokers – this means emails and phone calls don’t go unanswered, and in-person broker meetings are regularly scheduled. Working in a collaborative team, there is the opportunity to coach and mentor junior colleagues and further develop your skills from our more experienced underwriters to help grow your appetite for complex risks.

• Underwriting – executing renewal rates, evaluating, and negotiating proper rates
• Sales and negotiations
• Solutions oriented
• Developing and maintaining professional relationships with brokers and/or customers
• Coaching and mentoring more junior underwriters on the team

• 5+ years of underwriting experience
li>Completed or pursuing your CIP, FCIP, or RPLU designations
• Team‑first mentality
