Zurich Canada is currently looking for a Claims Quality Assurance Advisor to enhance and execute quality review processes for our claims area, supporting continuous improvement in alignment with business goals.

Reporting to the Head of Claims QA & Governance, you will play a pivotal role by analyzing and reviewing claims files, collaborating across teams to improve processes, and helping Zurich deliver on our promise of service excellence. Your work will help reduce leakage, ensure compliance, and support best-in-class claims handling across the organization.

Zurich follows a hybrid work model requiring three days per week of in-person presence, which may include time in the office or market-facing engagements.

What you will do

  • Analyze and assess claims through both open and closed file reviews to identify and measure leakage and compliance issues in the claims assessment process
  • Identify improvement opportunities and support development of solutions to continuously enhance the claims handling process
  • Liaise closely with senior managers to ensure stakeholders are promptly aware of any significant issues identified during file reviews
  • Conduct regular technical and best practice reviews with claims management to ensure our quality assurance program aligns with business strategies and industry best practices
  • Ensure closed files comply with pre-determined industry standards and Zurich’s internal benchmarks
  • Support delivery of key business objectives, including financial effectiveness, operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and compliance as measured by the Zurich Global Claims Scorecard
  • Prepare draft manuals for claims procedures and contribute to the development and implementation of new policies and process improvements
  • Research, analyze, and provide recommendations on claims protocols to inform continuous improvement
  • Provide specialist advice to internal teams and support colleagues through knowledge sharing and technical guidance

  • Job Qualifications - What you will do

    Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 or more years of experience in a technical claims role
  • OR

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 6 or more years of experience in a technical claims role
  • AND

  • Knowledge of business and compliance practices in the insurance industry
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Preferred:

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Effective conflict resolution, presentation, and project management abilities
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional growth
  • At Zurich Canada, we are committed to pay equity. We determine compensation based on objective criteria such as skills, experience, and internal equity. The salary range for this position is $75,000 – $90,000. This range reflects the expected pay for the role across Canada and may vary depending on factors like office location, specific responsibilities, and individual qualifications. As required by local law, Zurich provides in good faith a reasonable compensation range, but starting salaries may exceed this range based on a candidate’s skills and experience.
