Bilingual Expert | English and Chinese

1. Role Overview Mercor is seeking bilingual English–Chinese language professionals to support a translation quality review initiative with a leading AI research partner. Experts will evaluate AI-generated Chinese content, ensuring it reflects fluent, accurate, and culturally relevant language as commonly used in mainland China. This short-term, flexible project offers a chance to shape the linguistic quality of advanced AI systems.

2. Key Responsibilities

• Review and evaluate Chinese translations for fluency, clarity, and accuracy

• Identify mistranslations, unnatural phrasing, or tone inconsistencies

• Suggest improvements to ensure natural, idiomatic usage in mainland China

• Provide structured feedback on linguistic quality and cultural appropriateness

• Maintain high reading speed and attention to detail across varied content types

3. Ideal Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in both Chinese (Simplified) and English

• Deep familiarity with contemporary language usage in China

• 1+ year of experience in translation, localization, or language QA

• Excellent reading comprehension and written communication skills

• Strong attention to linguistic detail and cultural nuance
