Intermediate Insurance Defence Lawyer

Zarek Taylor Grossman Hanrahan LLP is seeking two hard-working and dedicated lawyers to join our firm. We are looking for lawyers with 6 to 12 years of experience. • Hold carriage of both Tort and Accident Benefits files with direct client contact
• Ensure proper documentation including using our file management system and adhering to both internal and external best practices
• Attend discoveries, meditations, EUOs, LAT hearings, pre-trials, and other litigation events both virtually and in-person
• Collaborate closely with opposing counsel, clients, and experts to mitigate exposure and have successful outcomes
• Manage internal teams including legal assistants and law clerks

• LL.B. or J.D. from a recognized law school is required
• Called the Ontario Bar and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario is required
• Minimum of 6 – 12 years of experience in Insurance Defence or Plaintiff side Personal Injury with both Accident Benefits and Tort files
• A proven track record of success in handling files
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a dynamic team
• Highly organized and client-service oriented
• Experience managing and working with staff including legal assistants, law clerks, and accounting staff
• Experience with coverage files is preferable but not necessary
