Light Duty Cleaner

GDI Services (Canada) LP is a leading integrated facility‑maintenance provider across Canada and the United States. We are currently seeking a Cleaner to support operations at our Toronto, Ontario location. This part‑time position offers competitive compensation of CAD $23–25 per hour.

As a light‑duty cleaner, you will perform a range of cleaning tasks including floor care, carpet cleaning, surface wiping, restroom and kitchenette sanitation, and waste removal. You will also assist with basic maintenance of cleaning equipment and support our commitment to a safe, inclusive, and productive work environment.

• Clean hard‑surface floors, carpets, and mats using manual and power scrubbing equipment.
• Vacuum carpets and shop “spot‑cleaned” rugs as directed.
• Maintain preventive upkeep of floor‑care machines, vacuums, auto scrubbers, and buffers.
• Empty garbage and recycling containers, replace liners, and transport waste to collection points.
• Sanitize washrooms and kitchens/kitchenettes, including fixtures, appliances, door handles, walls, mirrors, countertops, partitions, and floors.
• Replenish consumables such as toilet paper, hand towels, soap, and sanitizer.
• Spot‑clean walls, doors, kick plates, and other vertical surfaces, removing marks and smudges.
• Clean elevators and other applicable areas.
• Identify and report defects (e.g., clogged urinals, broken lights).
• Perform additional tasks as required by site needs.

• Ability to follow directions, work with minimal supervision, and collaborate effectively within a team.
• Attention to detail, strong work ethic, and high energy levels.
• Capacity to use cleaning tools and equipment.
• Experience with auto scrubbers is an asset.
• Dependable with reliable transportation.
• Must successfully pass a Criminal Record Check.
