A janitor is responsible for cleaning all hard floor surfaces and carpets, washrooms, common areas and offices, as well as collecting and removing garbage from drop points to a garbage bin. Other responsibilities may be included.

Part Time

• Sweep, mop, and wash floors, stairs and other surfaces inside buildings.
• Wash windowsills, glass in interior doors, partitions, and specified windows.
• Wash glass and trim at entrance doors, interior and exterior, and spot‑clean interior walls as needed daily.
• Clean bathrooms and restock paper supplies daily: damp wipe glass surfaces, empty waste baskets, service soap and toilet paper dispensers, dust sills, clean tile walls, shelves, stall partitions, and sweep/mop/scrub floors.
• Assist the supervisor with other tasks that require employee help.
• Monitor defects such as clogged urinals and lights out, and report to supervisors.
• Collect building trash daily, place it in approved containers, and deliver to designated collection area.
• Replace liners in waste baskets and trash containers per specifications.
• Perform high dusting and wall washing.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Must be able to take direction, work with minimal supervision, and function cooperatively as part of a team.
• Ability to use cleaning tools and equipment.
• Must have own transportation.
• Requires attention to detail, pride in delivering excellent service, organization, and high levels of energy and endurance.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
