Position Overview

The Quality Assurance Coordinator is responsible for supporting and auditing Production Facilities and supporting their quality concerns. The coordinator is responsible for collecting and analyzing data and creating and sharing reports to ensure continuous improvement. The QA Coordinator follows Canada Goose’s performance standards, procedures, and audit controls to meet the QA department and CG business requirements and must be capable of multi-tasking autonomously while working in a team environment to perform tasks cross-functionally.

This role requires you to travel between different facilities within the GTA and will require you to have a vehicle and a valid G license.

What You’ll Do
  • Use quality expertise to provide technical assistance to manufacturing departments, investigate and provide feedback on quality concerns.
  • Monitor the production line and inspect critical operations to ensure the production team meets CG Quality standards.
  • Work cross-functionally with related departments to resolve quality concerns/CAPAs and continuously improve the quality of CG products.
  • Implement Continuous Improvement projects (Kaizens) cross-departmental to support manufacturing, product development/ product engineering, sales, warranty, customer service and marketing.
  • Responsible for auditing and releasing finished goods, ensuring production is up to CG standards.
  • Inspect and provide improvement suggestions on reference samples and pre-production samples to various stakeholders.
  • Collect and analyze inspection data, initiate corrective action reports, and lead meetings to deal with non-conformance.
  • Ensure the respective CG facility follows up on the operator report and implements quality preventative measures.
  • Audit the facility on CG corporate policies and SOPs;
    Monthly QA Audit, Metal needle pin management and down audit.
  • Provide regular feedback to Quality Leaders regarding garment performance.
  • Update and maintain Quality Assurance SOPs manufacturing processes, manuals, and instructional tools.
  • Guide and train inspection work teams to promote and maintain acceptable levels of quality. Train Quality Control Inspectors and End of Line Inspectors.
  • Must be proactive and take accountability for assigned ad hoc projects.
  • Collect data, update reports, and communicate with appropriate teams; provide feedback to the production team and take corrective action to improve quality.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Let’s Talk About You
  • 2 years of experience in the Garment Industry.
  • Degree in Fashion/Textiles Manufacturing preferred.
  • Must have a Driver’s License and a Car.
  • Strong MS Office skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills.
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction and pattern making.
  • Understanding manufacturing processes within the garment industry.
  • Understanding of Technical Packages (manuals).
  • Well‑developed communication and interpersonal skills ensuring effective teamwork and relations with all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work as both a team player.
  • Highly detail‑oriented, organized, and able to multi‑task.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle challenges.
  • Action and Goal oriented, innovative, able to meet targets by planning while employing logic and ingenuity.
