Registered Nurse - Veterans Centre K1W - Regular part-time

We are seeking a registered nurse to provide total care at our Veterans Centre K1W transitional care unit. The RN will deliver a primary nursing care delivery model and provide personal care (ADLs) to patients with complex medical needs including dialysis, dementia, palliation, traumatic brain injury, oncology, and other community patient categories.

Location:

Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Toronto, Ontario.

Provide comprehensive nursing care, support the patient‑focused care philosophy, and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure high quality, patient‑centered care. Responsibilities include assessment, care planning, medication administration, and direct patient support.

• Current Ontario RN registration
• Current B.C.L.S. certification
• Gentle Persuasive Approach (GPA) or PEICES certification preferred
• Dialysis certification preferred or in progress (hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis)
• Oncology experience (chemotherapy) preferred
• Palliative care experience preferred
• Strong conflict resolution and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent communication with interdisciplinary team, patients, and families
• Strong physical assessment and airway management skills (tracheostomy, CPAP, BiPAP)
• Experience with central venous catheters (Hickman, PICC)
• Team‑player mentality
